Measure latency to every cloud region
A free cloud ping test. Measure real latency from your browser to 205 AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle, Alibaba, DigitalOcean, Linode and Vultr regions and find the ones closest to you.

Closest cloud regions
The 3 closest regions of each provider. Closer is usually faster, but routing can beat geography, so once measured they re-rank by latency.

How a cloud ping test works
- 1
Locate
Your IP (or, if you allow it, your browser's location) tells us which regions are physically closest to you.
- 2
Measure
Your browser sends HTTPS requests straight to each region. The first one sets up the connection; the rest measure round-trip time.
- 3
Compare
Regions are ranked by median latency. Runs are saved in this browser so you can compare networks, places and times of day.
Cloud ping test FAQ
How latency is measured, which clouds are included, and what stays in your browser.
How does Cloud Ping measure cloud latency?
Your browser sends HTTPS requests directly to each provider's public regional endpoint. The first request warms up the connection; later requests measure round-trip time. Results are ranked by median latency so a single slow sample does not hide a fast region.
Which cloud providers can I ping?
Cloud Ping measures 8 providers and 205 regions: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, DigitalOcean, Akamai / Linode, Vultr. You can test all of them, or open a provider page to ping only that cloud.
How is a cloud ping test different from a speed test?
A speed test measures download and upload bandwidth to one nearby server. Cloud Ping measures latency (round-trip time) to many cloud regions, so you can choose where to run workloads, not how fast a single file downloads.
Does Cloud Ping store my IP address or results?
Your IP is used only to guess nearby regions. Precise location is optional and stays in the browser. Finished runs are saved in this browser so you can compare networks and times of day; they are not uploaded to Cloud Ping.
Why is a closer cloud region sometimes slower?
Physical distance is a strong hint, but internet routing, congested paths, and the endpoint we probe can make a farther region faster. That is why Cloud Ping re-ranks regions by measured latency after a test, not by map distance alone.
